Let me be clear about this post.
This is an older post back from when I was doing more speaking and traveling all over the country to motivate and inspire high school juniors, seniors, and college freshmen about the next chapter in their young lives.
Xavier’s Speaking Role
I had the distinct honor and pleasure of keeping their attention so I could deliver a 45-minute presentation that helped them navigate finances, job skills, and a slew of other life skills I only wished my parents would have prepared me for when I was a young lad.
In other words, some of the services like Monster.com may not exist in the same way they did when I was speaking for them so please be advised.
I hope this paints a broader picture of the person you are reading about right now.
With all that said, let’s get into some of the fun speaking engagements of the past.

Hey, what’s happening my friends? Xavier Smith here and speaking is my game.
I trust all is well with you. I just wanted to get you up to date with what I have been up to lately with speaking!
As a speaker of Monster.com, I am blessed to be able to travel the country and talk to young students about the next step in life.
Whether it’s high school juniors, seniors, or college freshmen preparing to get that dream job, I got to cover all bases and spend quality time with them while speaking to them about the road ahead in their next chapter in life!

I recently had the pleasure and honor of speaking at the University of Texas at Brownsville,
home of the scorpions!
It was a great day, as the weather was pretty similar to Phoenix except it was just a bit more humid there than it is in Arizona.
I guess I know the true meaning of “but it’s a dry heat!”
While on my visit, as usual, I got to meet some great people, (staff and students alike) and got to know the area and learn more about the culture there at the scorpion nation!
It never seems to fail, no matter how many schools I visit, or people I meet, my anxious excitement level is always high.
Even more so when I was treated to lunch after the two presentations, hosted by the amazing staff, and the food was awesome too (provided by Jason’s Deli)!
I had no idea Jason’s deli was even out there in Texas! While I am thinking about it, congratulations to Jason’s Deli for being awarded one of the healthiest restaurants in the country by Parent’s Magazine!
However, I digress.
Let me just say that I had a great time being with the students of the University of Texas at Brownsville.
Thanks again for being such a great host!

Next up on the Texas tour – The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, home of the falcons!
Again, I can not say enough about the great energy I get each and every time I get to speak in front of students like these students!
Although I was in a different part of the state, they still made me feel right at home!
It really feels good to be able to come in, deliver a presentation, and have students come up to you and thank you after you are done.
At the end of the day, it is me that feels lucky to be able to serve the students and provide such positive information that they can use to put themselves first in line for their college of choice or that dream career!
As a speaker for Monster.com, it is important to get the message out that despite our struggling economy, there is hope for a better future and great jobs out there for everyone!
One of the best ways to get this out is by sharing it with your friends and family!
As many schools as Monster is able to reach, there are more out there who do not know about this amazing program!
It’s up to us to get plugged in to what is happening in the world so we don’t get left behind as a country!
